IEEE’s hybrid journals span an array of technology fields, and offer the benefits of established impact factors, as well as open access online. The majority of all IEEE transactions, journals, and letters offer a hybrid option, which permits both traditional subscription-based content as well as open access, author-pays content.

Most of these journals have an established impact factor and are well respected. Additionally, the quality of the review process for OA and traditional articles is the same for all hybrid journals. Any open access papers published within a hybrid journal will be included in all media types offered by that title.
