How to Choose the Right Publication for Your Submission

How to Choose the Right Publication for Your Submission 1200 628 IEEE Open

Choosing a target publication for your work is an important decision. The right publication is more likely to accept your article for publication and communicate your work to the best target audience. IEEE publishes more than 200 journals, transactions, and letters on a wide range of technologies, therefore it is critical to use the IEEE Publication Recommender to find the best journal for your work. With the IEEE Publication Recommender from the IEEE Author Center, you can input keywords or upload your article to receive customized suggestions. Click on a publication title in the search results to access important data about that publication including Aims & Scope, bibliometric scores such as the Impact Factor, open access availability, the average time from submission to online publication, and more.

Each year, IEEE introduces new publications to address growing areas of research that transform our lives. These new publications provide important new opportunities to enable researchers around the world to share their latest research in these fields with the scholarly community and for IEEE Xplore users to learn more about these technologies. About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
