Wide range of IEEE journals score in top tier in latest Journal Citation Reports™
IEEE continues to publish articles of the highest quality and impact according to the latest Journal Citation Reports™ from Clarivate Analytics and CiteScore™ metrics by Scopus, as both released their latest reports in June 2024. The latest results demonstrate a collective and consistent high-level of performance across IEEE publications in a wide range of technologies in both open access and hybrid journals.
Some highlights from the report:
- A wide range of IEEE publications were consistently listed among the most-cited journals in multiple technology categories of the JCR findings as measured by Journal Impact Factor (JIF):
- 21 of the 25 top journals in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- 13 of the top 15 journals in Telecommunications
- 5 of the top 10 journals in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence
- 5 of the top 10 journals in Imaging Science
- 4 of the top 5 journals in Automation and Control systems
- IEEE journals ranked No. 1 in JIF in several categories such as Automation and Control, Cybernetics, Imaging Science, Information Systems, Remote Sensing, and Telecommunications.
- In the most recent CiteScore report by Scopus, multiple IEEE publications were consistently listed among the most-cited journals in multiple categories:
- 10 of the top 20 journals in Electrical Engineering
- 9 of the top 20 journals in Computer Networks and Communications
- 8 of the top 20 journals in Computer Software
- IEEE Journals ranked No. 1 in several categories such as Electrical Engineering, General Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Computational Theory and Mathematics
