The IEEE Author Center has recently launched the following new tools for authors and reviewers:

Improved IEEE Reference Preparation Assistant Now Available
The upgraded IEEE Reference Preparation Assistant can help you improve your reference list before you submit your article to IEEE for peer review. This self-service tool lets you submit a list of references that are returned to you formatted in IEEE style. This tool can now help identify any references in your list that have been retracted or are from journals classified as predatory by Cabells. Results can be downloaded as a ZIP file or emailed to you and other recipients.

New Guidance for Peer Reviewers
Reviewers fulfill a vital role in the publishing process by giving detailed and professional commentary on submitted articles. Learn about being an IEEE reviewer by visiting the Become an IEEE Reviewer page on the IEEE Author Center. Resources on the page include: A one-page summary about reviewing an IEEE article, a ten-page guide with more extensive details about reviewing an IEEE article, tips for submitting feedback, an 11-minute video about reviewing an IEEE article and the IEEE policy about the use of AI in peer review.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
