Centro Universitário FEI (UNIFEI)

The former Faculty of Industrial Engineering – FEI, and the Higher School of Business Administration – ESAN, were born from the intuition and courage of Father Roberto Sabóia de Medeiros, S.J. (1905-1955), a visionary Jesuit who, in the early 1940s, foreseeing the economic growth and the need for engineers and managers that the Industry and the Country would need, founded the two institutions.

In line with global megatrends, FEI has already contributed to the training of more than 60 thousand professionals in the areas of Administration, Computer Science and Engineering, always aiming at the construction of a developed, humane and fair society.

The Centro Universitário FEI (UNIFEI), through the national contract between CAPES and IEEE has an unlimited open access agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles as open access without open access fees in all IEEE fully and hybrid open access journals. The agreement applies to all original research articles accepted for publication between 5 November 2024 – 30 October 2027. To benefit from this agreement, the corresponding author has to be affiliated with Centro Universitário FEI (UNIFEI). Please use the correct institution name and your institutional email address during submission. It is recommended for authors to select the CC BY 4.0 license. The open access funding request will be approved by an OA administrator at CAPES. Overlength page charges or color fees are not covered by the agreement and will be charged to authors.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
