Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC)

The Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research institution in Spain and one of the most renowned institutions in the European Research Area (ERA), has an open access read and publish agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish a limited amount articles as open access without open access fees (APCs) in all IEEE fully and hybrid open access journals annually. The agreement applies to all original research articles accepted for publication between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2028. To benefit from this agreement, the corresponding author has to be affiliated with Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas at the time the article is accepted for publication. Please use the correct institution name and your institutional email address during submission. It is recommended for authors to select the CC BY 4.0 license. The open access funding request will be approved by an administrator in the library.

Note: overlength page charges or color fees are not covered by the agreement and will be charged to authors.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
