De Montfort University (DMU)
At DMU, we have an ambitious Research Strategy which aims to make research central to our mission as a university. As a university committed to the public good, we have a track record of research that impacts society and makes a real difference to people’s lives through improvements to health and well-being, infrastructure, creativity, economic growth, business and civil society.
To support our authors, we developed an Open Access agreement with IEEE. The agreement means we are able to fund APCs for a number of articles in fully open access titles. Our agreement does not cover articles in hybrid journal titles.
For more information about which titles our agreement covers or any other queries please contact us at: openaccess@dmu.ac.uk.
To make the CC BY license available as quickly as possible under the Route 2 option, IEEE has developed a process that engages authors during their online publication agreement where they may identify themselves as an author with UKRI funding. Upon completion of the copyright agreement, UKRI funded authors will automatically obtain a permission to apply the CC BY license to their accepted manuscript. To further meet the Route 2 requirements, the submissions should include the following text in the funding acknowledgement section of the manuscript and any cover note accompanying the submission:
For the purpose of open access, the author(s) has applied a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license to any Accepted Manuscript version arising
