The GNARUS INSTITUTE is a non-profit organization whose objective is the study and formulation of proposals for scientific research and technological development of monitoring devices and systems, primarily aimed at optimizing the processes of using material and energy resources. It operates in research, projects, education, and training. To achieve its objectives, the GNARUS INSTITUTE works with all types of organizations and societies, both civil and public, through teaching, scientific research, technological development, and support for initiatives of public or private entities, focusing on the introduction of monitoring resources to make the use of natural resources more efficient, with sustainability and environmental preservation.

The Instituto GNARUS, through the national contract between CAPES and IEEE has an unlimited open access agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles as open access without open access fees in all IEEE fully and hybrid open access journals. The agreement applies to all original research articles accepted for publication between 5 November 2024 – 30 October 2027. To benefit from this agreement, the corresponding author has to be affiliated with Instituto GNARUS. Please use the correct institution name and your institutional email address during submi​​ssion. It is recommended for authors to select the CC BY 4.0 license. The open access funding request will be approved by an OA administrator at CAPES. Overlength page charges or color fees are not covered by the agreement and will be charged to authors.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in.
