Instituto Nacional de Metrologia (INMETRO)

The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology – Inmetro – is a federal agency linked to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services. The Institute acts as the Executive Secretariat of the National Council of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (Conmetro), an interministerial collegiate body that is the regulatory body of the National System of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (Sinmetro). Aiming to integrate an articulated systemic structure, Sinmetro, Conmetro and Inmetro were created by Law 5.966, of December 11, 1973, with the latter replacing the then National Institute of Weights and Measures (INPM) and significantly expanding its scope of action in the service of Brazilian society. Inmetro aims to strengthen national companies, increasing their productivity through the adoption of mechanisms aimed at improving the quality and safety of products and services.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
