Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (INPA)

Created in 1952 and implemented in 1954, the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA) has been conducting scientific studies of the physical environment and living conditions in the Amazon region over the years to promote human well-being and regional socioeconomic development. Currently, INPA is a world reference in Tropical Biology. INPA’s early years were characterized by research, surveys and inventories of fauna and flora. Today, the challenge is to sustainably expand the use of the Amazon’s natural resources. To meet this challenge, the Institute has the general coordination of Training, Administration, Strategic Actions, Extension, and four Research Coordinations working on the following focuses: Environmental Dynamics; Society, Environment and Health; Technology and Innovation; and Biodiversity.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
