Maynooth University

Maynooth University, one of the leading young universities in the world, is a place of lively contrasts – a modern institution, dynamic, research led and engaged, but grounded in historic academic and scholarly traditions. Situated 25 kilometres outside of Dublin on a campus dating to 1795, Maynooth University is Ireland’s fastest growing university.

As a member of the IReL consortium, Maynooth University has an agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles without open access fees (APCs). Further information can be found at https://nuim.libguides.com/OpenAccessPublishingAgreements.

To benefit from this agreement, corresponding authors must be a current staff member or student of Maynooth University at the time the article is accepted for publication.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
