PUC Goiás

The first higher education institution in the central region of Brazil , PUC Goiás is a common home for thousands of people who are experiencing important stages in their lives. The university is a place of sharing, knowledge, solidarity and Christian faith. With an academic structure divided into 5 schools, it offers 43 on-site undergraduate courses, 25 distance learning degrees, 11 stricto sensu postgraduate programs – 11 master’s courses and five doctorates – and 21 specializations, in all areas of knowledge. Founded on October 17, 1959, as the University of Goiás, the institution is maintained by the Goiana Cultural Society (SGC), of the Archdiocese of Goiânia. In 1971, it began to include the term “Catholic” in its name. On its fiftieth anniversary, in 2009, it received pontifical recognition. In 2019, PUC Goiás celebrated its Diamond Jubilee.

The PUC Goiás, through the national contract between CAPES and IEEE has an unlimited open access agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles as open access without open access fees in all IEEE fully and hybrid open access journals. The agreement applies to all original research articles accepted for publication between 5 November 2024 – 30 October 2027. To benefit from this agreement, the corresponding author has to be affiliated with PUC Goiás. Please use the correct institution name and your institutional email address during submi​​ssion. It is recommended for authors to select the CC BY 4.0 license. The open access funding request will be approved by an OA administrator at CAPES. Overlength page charges or color fees are not covered by the agreement and will be charged to authors.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access.
