A benchmark in higher education in Brazil, PUC Minas celebrated its 65th anniversary in 2023 and reinvents itself daily, fulfilling its tradition of being contemporary. PUC Minas’ excellence is recognized and certified by the Ministry of Education. The University received the highest grade, grade 5, in the institutional re-accreditation process of the Ministry of Education. This excellence certified by the institutional re-accreditation continues to be recognized through periodic evaluations of the undergraduate courses offered by the University. The postgraduate program has made great progress and has 14 stricto sensu programs – master’s and doctorate – in different areas.

The PUC-MG, through the national contract between CAPES and IEEE has an unlimited open access agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles as open access without open access fees in all IEEE fully and hybrid open access journals. The agreement applies to all original research articles accepted for publication between 5 November 2024 – 30 October 2027. It is recommended for authors to select the CC BY 4.0 license. The open access funding request will be approved by an OA administrator at CAPES. Overlength page charges or color fees are not covered by the agreement and will be charged to authors.
