PUCCAMP
The history of PUC-Campinas began on June 7, 1941, when the first unit of the University, the School of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters, was established. At the time, the Diocese of Campinas acquired the old mansion owned by Joaquim Polycarpo Aranha, known as Baron of Itapura. Its history, which spans over eight decades of training high-quality professionals, is marked by the uninterrupted pursuit of excellence in teaching as one of the Institution’s missions. At the same time, it does not neglect its constant dedication to aspects such as innovation, modernization and sustainability. The University has established itself as one of the leading higher education institutions in Brazil. A series of national and international rankings, among the most respected in the world, have placed the University among the most prominent in teaching quality, sustainability, research, innovation and the leading role of women in academia. PUC-Campinas is the first private educational institution in São Paulo and the third in Brazil with the highest number of 5-star courses in the ranking of the Faculty Guide published by the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo and the best private institution in the interior of the state according to RUF (Folha University Ranking).
