Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (UESC)

The STATE UNIVERSITY OF SANTA CRUZ had its origins in isolated schools created on the Ilhéus/Itabuna axis in the 1960s. In 1972, as a result of the initiative of regional leaders and the Executive Committee of the Cocoa Farming Plan (CEPLAC), the isolated schools (Ilhéus Law School, Itabuna Philosophy School, and Itabuna School of Economics) came together to form the Federation of Higher Education Schools of Ilhéus and Itabuna – FESPI. Gathered on a Campus on the Ilhéus/Itabuna Highway in the city of Ilhéus, by Opinion CFE 163/74, the educational institutions gradually gained maturity and competence, creating the conditions to apply for University status.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
