Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG)
The Federal University of Campina Grande was created under Lei Nº. 10,419 of April 9, 2002, from the dismemberment of the Federal University of Paraíba. Its origins were in the 1950s, when they were raised at the Escola Politécnica de Campina Grande (1952) and the Faculdade de Ciências Econômicas (1955), when higher education took its first steps in Paraíba. UFCG currently has 7 university campuses, 11 teaching centers, 77 undergraduate courses, 47 post-graduation programs – with 34 masters and 13 doctorates -, 18,168 graduate students and 2,259 post-graduate students – 1,367 graduates and 892 graduates, offering 4,685 days of admission to graduation through the Unified Seleção System (SiSU).
The Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG), through the national contract between CAPES and IEEE has an unlimited open access agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles as open access without open access fees in all IEEE fully and hybrid open access journals. The agreement applies to all original research articles accepted for publication between 5 November 2024 – 30 October 2027. To benefit from this agreement, the corresponding author has to be affiliated with Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG). Please use the correct institution name and your institutional email address during submission. It is recommended for authors to select the CC BY 4.0 license. The open access funding request will be approved by an OA administrator at CAPES. Overlength page charges or color fees are not covered by the agreement and will be charged to authors.
