The Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) was founded in 1968 and was the first federal institution of Higher Education installed in the interior of the State of São Paulo. The University stands out for its high level of qualification of its teaching staff: 99.8% are teachers or teachers and 95.8% two professors develop teaching, research and extension activities under an exclusive dedication regime. UFSCar offers 64 courses and a total of 2,897 students in in-person graduation. In addition, it has 52 postgraduate programs, 12 professional master’s courses, 44 academic master’s courses, 31 doctorate courses and 96 specialization courses. In addition to its extension, UFSCar promotes 1,242 extension activities in 319 programs in the most diverse areas such as Education, Health, Environment and Culture. It also offers 92 Curricular Activities of Integração Ensino Pesquisa e Extensão (Aciepes).
The Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), through the national contract between CAPES and IEEE has an unlimited open access agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles as open access without open access fees in all IEEE fully and hybrid open access journals. The agreement applies to all original research articles accepted for publication between 5 November 2024 – 30 October 2027. To benefit from this agreement, the corresponding author has to be affiliated with Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar). Please use the correct institution name and your institutional email address during submission. It is recommended for authors to select the CC BY 4.0 license. The open access funding request will be approved by an OA administrator at CAPES. Overlength page charges or color fees are not covered by the agreement and will be charged to authors.
