The Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) began in 1962 with the creation of the Campo Grande School of Pharmacy and Dentistry in the city of Campo Grande, which would become the embryo of public higher education in the south of the then state of Mato Grosso.

Currently, UFMS offers undergraduate and graduate programs, both in-person and online. Graduate programs include specialization courses and master’s and doctoral programs.

To achieve the essential objectives of improving teaching and stimulating research and outreach activities, UFMS has been actively involved in the preservation of Mato Grosso do Sul’s natural resources, especially the fauna and flora of the Pantanal, the region in which it is located.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
