Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo

The University of Urbino Carlo Bo is a multidisciplinary university with a long tradition. It was founded in 1506 and since then has pursued studies in both scientific and humanistic disciplines. Its name is linked to the figure of literary critic and senator Carlo Bo, who was its rector for 50 years.

The Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo through the national contract between CRUI and IEEE has a limited open access agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles as open access without open access fees in IEEE hybrid journals. The agreement applies to all original research articles accepted for publication between 1 November 2025 and December 31, 2027. To benefit from this agreement, the corresponding author has to be affiliated with Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo. Please use the correct institution name and your institutional email address during submission. It is recommended for authors to select the CC BY 4.0 license. The open access funding request will be approved by an administrator in the library.
Overlength page charges or color fees are not covered by the agreement and will be charged to authors.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
