University College Cork

UCC is an award-winning institution with a history of independent thinking stretching back over 170 years. UCC is proud to be ranked in the top 2% of universities in the world. Our beautiful university opened its gates to just 115 students in 1849. We now have a student population of over 22,500.

As a member of the IReL consortium, University College Cork has an agreement with IEEE that enables researchers to publish articles without open access fees (APCs). Further information can be found at https://irel.ie/open-access/.

To benefit from this agreement, corresponding authors must be a current staff member or student of University College Cork at the time the article is accepted for publication. For further information, see https://libguides.ucc.ie/OAagreements.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
