Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology

Founded in April 2002 (after the merge of three schools established back in 1982, namely Shenzhen Institute of Education, Shenzhen Industrial School and Shenzhen School of Finance and Economics), Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SZIIT) is a public full-time institution providing higher education in Shenzhen. Approved by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, it has been registered under the Ministry of Education (MOE) and therefore administered by the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government.

As one of the first batch of schools involved in High Level Higher Vocational School and Disciplinary Development Plan with Chinese Characteristics (‘Double High Plan’), the School is the National Demonstration (core) Higher Vocational Institution, National Demonstration Software Vocational Institution and Pilot School of the ‘Sino-German Automotive Vocational Education Project’ launched by the MOE. It’s now home to three national higher vocational education professional teaching resource libraries (including 1 alternative project).

IEEE and DRAA, the Digital Resource Acquisition Alliance of Chinese Academic Libraries, have entered into an open access read and publish agreement. This agreement makes it more convenient for corresponding authors to publish open access articles with IEEE’s industry leading journals and magazines as eligible authors pay reduced article processing charges (APCs) and may have the opportunity to pay no APCs as some of these costs are waived under the agreement.
