Austria

Notice to authors from Austria who receive funding from the Austrian Science Fund (FWF):
In order to comply with the FWF Open Access policy (Open Access to Peer-reviewed Publications (fwf.ac.at)) all authors must select the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY).

Finland

Notice to Authors from Finland:
In order to comply with cOAlitionS funders’ mandates and the strong recommendations of Finnish universities, research institutions and the Finnish national policy on open access, authors affiliated to FinELib-consortium members should select the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY).

Wellcome Trust

In order to support Wellcome Trust’s Open Access policy, all articles by authors who have received funding from Wellcome Trust to cover article processing charges (APC) must be published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY). Wellcome Trust will not cover the APC cost if an author chooses a license other than CC-BY.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in.
