IEEE and Missouri State University Announce New Open Access Agreement

IEEE and Missouri State University Announce New Open Access Agreement 1200 628 IEEE Open

IEEE and Missouri State University (MSU) are pleased to announce that they’ve entered into an open access read and publish agreement. This marks the first read and publish agreement for MSU with a major publisher.

With this new agreement, MSU-corresponding authors will be able to publish open access articles in all IEEE journals and the agreement combines reading access to over five million documents from the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library, including scientific journals, conference proceedings, and IEEE standards. The agreement also makes it more convenient for authors to publish open access articles with IEEE as article processing charges (APCs) are prepaid by MSU’s centrally funded IEEE open access APC account. MSU’s authors are now able to publish open access articles in 100+ leading hybrid journals and all fully open journals published by IEEE, making articles instantly available and free to read by the general public.

About IEEE Institutional OA Agreements

Your institution has an OA publishing agreement with IEEE that makes it easier and more convenient for authors to publish open access. This type of agreement often includes a number of pre-paid article processing charges (APCs) to allow researchers to publish open access in eligible titles. Some institutional agreements have internal processes approving the use of APCs or limitations on the number of APCs available or the type of journals they can be used in. Please speak to your University Librarian or Open Access Administrator for more details and to check availability. Additional information can be found above regarding your institution’s OA agreement.
